Today we save the world with good old fashioned American Apple Pie…minus the crust. I stand by my motto that no one should be able to turn down my desserts, in this case it is completely true. Gluten-Free Apple Pie for childhood hunger.
Ready. Set. Go.
3 Red Delicious Apples
-Peel and take out the centers. Cut in half.
1 Teaspoon McCormick Roasted Siagon Cinnamon
1 Teaspoon Nutmeg
1 Teaspoon chopped Crystallized Ginger
1/2 cup Turbinado Sugar
-Place all of these ingredients in a mixing bowl, add the apples and coat them.
1/2 stick of butter over low heat
-Melt the butter and then add the apples placing the centers down. Simmer for 5 mins covered.
-Flip the apples, pour some of the liquid over them. And continue to simmer on low until fork tender. It was about 2 mins for mine but each apple is different.
-Serve hot with fresh whipped cream.
